2 - As per the headline in Question #1, was the headline representative of the article? Please explain your reasoning in detail. (4 Marks)
After I read the article, it reflected exactly what I thought it was going to. It provided me with 20 tips I could implement in my day-to-day life that could help me lose weight quickly and effectively. Truly it ended up providing me with more information than I was expecting, something you can only hope for in every article. The content was clear, straight to the point and even better, bulleted in a numbered list with the subtitles for each point being bolded. This was perfect, as it allowed me to scan through the article, while still taking in all of the information in a clear and concise way.
It provided me with many tips, that were realistic and truthful! The reason I say truthful is because I already do the majority of these things on a day-to-day basis as I am into all thing’s fitness, health and wellness. Throughout my journey on weight loss, I’ve definitely got sucked into “fads” and/or “money grabs.” None of which being realistic, practical or maintainable (key components for weight loss), however, this article was truthful and provided me with tactics and tools I could implement into my daily life.
As I mentioned in question one, they were in fact not trying to sell me something or selling me false hope, or a product they are able to make money from, they stuck to exactly what the headline said – tips for me to lose weight in 2 weeks. They provided with information not only regarding physical things I am able to do to lose weigth but also acknowledged the mental aspect of it. For example, tip #18 was “reduce stress,” tip #19 was “get support” and tip #20 was “stay positive.” I found this to be very interesting and unique. Not many results like this pop up often, it gives me a more human-like sense as if my best friend was giving me tips on how to lose weight. This article perfectly represented the headline, in every aspect, it was effective, and provided me with exactly the kind of information I was looking for.
